John M. Wallace Jr., PhD
Senior Pastor (He is the visionary and preaches and teaches)
Pastor John oversees the effective implementation of God’s mission and vision for Bible Center as well as to advance the Kingdom of God in the lives of the members and through the ministry of Bible Center. Pastor John received a BA from the University of Chicago, and a MA and PhD from the University of Michigan.
Cynthia M. Wallace, MA
Executive Pastor (She organizes, administrates and makes things happen)
Pastor Cynthia oversees the administration and management of Bible Center’s ministries, personnel, and finances in consultation with the Pastor and Leadership Team. She is also responsible for encouraging, supporting, and equipping Ministry leaders of Bible Center. Pastor Cynthia has a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a M.A. from the University of Michigan.
Casey Clauser, BA
Oasis Sports, Oasis Transportation, and Oasis Farm Manager
Casey manages the day to day operation of Oasis Transportation by supervising drivers, developing contracts, and overseeing vehicle maintenance. He also manages Bible Center’s youth focused Oasis Sports program and is responsible for all aspects of the program. Casey is also a part of the Oasis Project’s Farm and Fishery team. Casey has a B.A. in Education from Lock Haven University and has been a Homewood resident for over 5 years.
Kerri L. Clauser, MSW, LSW
Director of Outreach
Kerri oversees community outreach programs with children and families in the community and works on partnership development, including partners like the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) and University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. She has her Master of Social Work degree in Community Organizing and Social Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Human Services and a B.A. in Political Science from Geneva College.
Dana Gowder, BA, BS
Ministry Outreach and Support Coordinator
Dana ensures the orderly and efficient operation of the Bible Center office. She maintains the database of Bible Center, supports the effective administrative functioning of Bible Center ministries, and ensures appropriate stewardship of Bible Center finances. Dana is passionate about ministry and evangelism through sports. She also coordinates the Bible Center Sports Ministry. Dana Gowder has a B.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in Forensics and a B.S. in Emergency Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh.
Bernice Jeffries Perkins
Executive Assistant and Ministry Placement Coordinator
Bernice is responsible for assisting with the management of administrative tasks to support the Senior Pastor. As Ministry Placement Coordinator she is also responsible for planning and implementing a system for engaging Bible Center members in ministry. Bernice has a heart for ministry. She loves God; loves people, and makes it a point to encourage others to follow Jesus.
Stephanie Lewis, MS
Director of Educational Initiatives and Children & Youth Administrator
Stephanie is responsible for all educational programming for the Oasis Project. She is also responsible for providing administrative support to Bible Center’s Children and Youth Ministry. Stephanie has a M.S. in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Biology/ Pre-Med from Jackson State University.
Donna Taylor, MBA
Chief Operating Officer of Oasis Foods
Donna is leading the execution of new ventures, Everyday Café, Farm and Fishery, and Global Soul Pan African Bistro. With over 20 years in the Consumer Food Product Industry, Donna has sales/marketing experiences with global organizations including Kraft Foods, Del Monte Foods along with regional player Giant Eagle Corporate and consumer health companies, Bristol Myers Squibb, and GlaxoSmithKline. Donna has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Western Kentucky University and Master of Business Administration in Management from Argosy University.
The Maker's Clubhouse Program Manager
Tiara is responsible for the growth and success of The Maker's Clubhouse. She directs and leads day-to-day operations of the program. With over 10 years of experience in youth development, training, and program management, Tiara works closely with the Director of Educational Initiatives to create, find, and implement services and resources to positively impact the lives of our youth and their families. Tiara has a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Adult Education & Training from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Studies from Robert Morris University.
Debralyn Woodberry-Shaw, MSW, LSW
Development Manager and Student & Family Support Adminstrator
Debralyn is responsible for securing and managing funds for The Oasis Project including hosting fundraisers and writing grants. In her Student & Family Support Administrator role she coordinates professional development activities, supervises our social work interns, manages the Maker's Clubhouse Social Skills groups, and plans events focused on connecting our students and their families with resources that will support their educational, social, emotional, or spiritual growth. Debralyn has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University. Debralyn is passionate about assisting young people with developing to their full potential and spreading the knowledge of Trauma Informed Care to youth workers.
Trashawnda Ward, M. Ed.
Worship and Arts Team Leader
Minister Trashawnda serves as the Worship and Arts Team Leader at Bible Center. Under the leadership of her brother and pastor, Dr. John M. Wallace, Jr., she is working to see “God’s rule and reign established in the earth.” In addition to music ministry, she leads a monthly "Family Prayer" time honoring the legacy of prayer left by her grandmother, the late Mother Bernice Groce. She is a teacher, intercessor, musician, songwriter, recording artist and founder of "Simply Worship"-a one hour worship service with nothing but musical, prophetic worship. Trashawnda believes in heartfelt, Spirit-led worship.
