Bible Center aspires not to simply be “in” the community but to be “for” the community. To advance this aspiration, Bible Center launched The Oasis Project, the community and economic development division of the church. Our mission is to create oases–places of peace, prosperity, and happiness—in the midst of trouble or difficulty. The Oasis Project focuses on three key rungs on the ladder of economic advancement and opportunity—education, employment, and entrepreneurship. We also emphasize the importance of the physical context—i.e., the environment—in which people attempt to learn, seek jobs, and attempt to build businesses and its impact on their likelihood of success.
